Description
Have you ever loved an Old Master painting…one that always has given you joy to look at? One of my collector’s Vasigay Pillay, loved Claude Monet’s Saule Pleureur Sur La Rive du Fleuve en Ete (Weeping Willow on the Bank of the River in Summer), because it brought her a sense of tranquility and calm. I was thrilled to do a Masterpiece Re-Creation of this piece. I love the impressionists with their rich pallets and textured brushstrokes.
This is attributed to Monet in 1882, although some art historians question it. This piece was shown on a poster from Musee D'Art Louis Charles in Paris. In any event, this is a beautiful work of art with its rich colors and perspective. I even included the famous Monet bridge in the distance.
With Masterpiece Re-creations I strive to eradicate various cracks, blotches, water stains, decolorization, faded colors and dirt that accumulates in a hundred years. The painting is then re-mastered using glazing techniques of adding paint and many coats of varnish to create the pigmentation and textures to duplicate the brush strokes and colors as would have been intended by the artist. The mission is to create how the work of art would have looked when Monet finished it in 1882, creating a type of time-capsule and bringing it to life so that others can enjoy its beauty and be inspired by it.
